Anxiety and mood disorders are the most prevalent of all psychiatric disorders. They are very disabling and costly (both in terms of human suffering and economic cost), and so warrant special attention.

We are therefore pleased to announce this new cooperation between Cape Town and Amsterdam. Both cities will take turns to host an international symposium where leaders in the field of anxiety disorders will review and discuss the most recent advances in the diagnosis, pathogenesis and treatment of these conditions.
